Education for Social Cohesion and a Just Society
Our association understands education as one of the central instruments for strengthening social cohesion, promoting a culture of friendship, and fostering social responsibility.
Our educational programs are designed and implemented with the aim of raising awareness, empowering individuals, and promoting attitudes based on mutual respect, social justice, and solidarity
Educational Objectives
The educational offerings of our association pursue the following objectives in particular:
- Promoting a culture of friendship, peaceful coexistence, and respect for cultural and
social diversity - Strengthening social cohesion and mutual responsibility
- Raising awareness of the impacts of fundamentalism, violence, and extremism
- Promoting the values of social justice, equality, and human rights
- Strengthening critical thinking and constructive dialogue within society
Thematic Focus Areas
The association’s educational programs include, among others, the following thematic areas:
- Fostering empathy, dialogue skills, and nonviolent conflict resolution
- Introducing concepts of social cohesion, volunteer engagement, and civic
participation - Preventing extremism and fundamentalism through education and the promotion of
critical thinking - Promoting social justice, equal opportunities, and anti-discrimination
- Strengthening the role of citizens in building an inclusive and just society
Educational Formats
The educational offerings are implemented using diverse and participatory methods,
including:
- In-person and online workshops
- Group discussions and moderated dialogue formats
Target Groups
The programs are aimed in particular at:
- Young people and senior citizens
- Socially engaged individuals and volunteers
- Members of civil society and local initiatives
- People interested in social participation and voluntary engagement
Expected Outcomes

About Us: Heart for Freedom and Humanity e.V.
The association “Heart for Freedom and Humanity e.V.”, based in Berlin, is committed to promoting human rights, social justice, and respectful coexistence.
Our goal is to support refugees, victims of torture, and people affected by homelessness, while fostering tolerance, human dignity, and critical thinking.
We are particularly engaged in:
- the promotion of art and culture, especially Iranian culture and history,
- intercultural and intergenerational dialogue,
- educational work and awareness-raising against fundamentalism,
- the organization of seminars, workshops, and cultural events,
- the support of academic and social projects related to freedom, human rights, and humanity.
Our association operates on a non-profit and selfless basis—all financial resources are used exclusively to pursue the association’s goals. All individuals involved in the association work on a voluntary basis and receive no remuneration.
